BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti today distributed 100 sewing machines to women under various schemes in Dehlan Upper and Lower panchayats.
Speaking on the occasion, Satti said the Jai Ram Thakur government had geared up the pace of development in the state. He said benefits of Central and state government schemes were being made available to people at the grass-roots level. He said during the Congress regime, people belonging to underprivileged sections of society were not getting benefits of many schemes. Ever since the Jai Ram Thakur government took over, people suffering from major diseases were being given grants from the CM relief fund for treatment.
The BJP leader said their party did not believe in petty politics and comes to the support of the needy, irrespective of political ideologies. Newly elected president of the Una block, Harpal Singh, was also present on the occasion.
