This work focuses on
photovoltaic array fed sewing machine. Main focus is on utilizing non
conventional energy resources i.e. solar energy because now-a-days the
entire world is facing crises of energy. System consists of an
arrangement of several components, including solar panels to absorb and
convert sunlight to electricity. In this research work a photovoltaic
array is used to run a motor i.e. dc motor that drives the sewing
machine. Dc motor will be fed by charge controller and the duty cycle of
charge controller is controlled by using MPPT (P&O) algorithm. The
simulink model of the research work is done using MATLAB software.
During the actual operation of the expert system for motor selection, some kinds of functions must be showed, such as outputting the following motor parameters according to the input data: the motor model, the protection and structure form, the rated power and cooling ventilation, the rated speed. Of course, these contents can be outputted individually or in combination. And finally the users determine the required motor according to these dates. System functions as follows: 1) Motor selection function: The users input the data according to various motor parameters into the system. The system chooses the relative rules based on the data from the rule base. Then it uses the rules to reason the results. At last the results of the rule inference are given and displayed to the users.
2) Add, Modify and Delete the rules: The user can add some rules through the system. In practical use, the users may find that there are some discrepancies between the rules and the actual situations. The precise mathematical model of the object will be not required if fuzzy PID control algorithm is adopted. Instead, the fuzzy control rules, which would be used to determine the control volume, are built mainly based on the experience of the developers and experts. However, if the developer is not enough familiar with ISM, the application of fuzzy control will cost huge time on making the fuzzy control rules for ISM’s motor servo system, and the fuzzy control rules may be half-baked or even incorrect. This method is simple and practical, but the dynamic response, speed smooth and reliability of the system needs improving if this method is applied in ISM .
